Madonna sang about it. Andrea “Andy” Sachs in The Devil Wears Prada took on the streets of New York listening to it. And Rolling Stone ranked it as #28 of the best music videos of all time.

Vogue.

This is the “Putting on the Ritz” of my generation. The song has inspired creative people to unleash their attitude and express themselves against the norm.

But what does Vogue mean? According to Wikipedia, it is the prevailing fashion or style at a particular time, describes the popular, the fashionable, or to dance in a way as to imitate the characteristic poses struck by a model on a catwalk.

I find myself fascinated with a term that has defined generations.
