From the Plitvice lakes, I made my way to Budapest.  I didn’t know what to expect in Budapest but was happy to find a great city that really catered to backpackers.  Besides having a ton of history, beautiful buildings and cool culture, it also had a great bar scene, full of cheap food and drinks and was a great time.

The highlights for this city was the architecture along the river, the baths and the ruins bars.  The baths are these thermal baths that heat up the water, a perfect place to relax after fun night in the ruins bars.  The Ruin Bars are these awesome bars that are built into these old ruin buildings.  They all have such character and make for a blast of a time.  You’ll find yourself dancing to 80’s classics in a kitchen with no ceilings or techno in the living room.  Just a blast of…
