So I am not a Star Wars fan (I grew up watching Star Trek). But as a lover of pop culture and history I can appreciate Star Wars.

The movie opened up 37 years ago today. Here are some facts about the movie to hold you over while you get dressed in your best Darth Vader costume and watch the trilogy this evening.
