And so it begins… AIDS LifeCycle
This year during AIDS LifeCycle, rider 2158 will be me – Alex Gregory Goldsmith.
Today my journey to Los Angeles began around Lake Merritt. Me and my friend (Workshop Girl – again no real names on this blog) rode around and did about 10 miles to kick off training. It was scary and invigorating to be back on a bike and feeling the excitement again.
What is AIDS LifeCycle? From June 1-7, 2014, I will cycle from San Francisco to Los Angeles to raise money for AIDS / HIV awareness, research and funding. I am doing the 7 day, 545 mile ride on behalf of friends who are positive.
Throughout the next 8 months I will be reporting on this blog how the training is going. If you have any tips on fundraising or how to ride a bike better, hit me up. I am looking forward to connecting to riders.
