Why Dogs Rule

Not that it needs to be said, but a dog is a man’s best friend and there are so many reasons why dogs rule. I had a great weekend with my pitbull and wanted to share the joy.

Here are my top 10 reasons why dogs are the best. What are your reasons?

1) Dogs find you amusing when you’re drunk

2) They show their need for people, openly and honestly

3) Thousands of guide dogs help the blind

4) Like men, dogs do the dishes by licking them clean

5) Dogs agree that you have to raise your voice to get your point across

6) Tyranny of the majority: of the 62% of American homes that have a pet, 69% have a dog while 51% have a cat

7) Dogs understand what “NO” means

8) Dogs have no problem showing affection in public

9) No hair balls

10) Playtime is all the time

Final fun fact: in early Christian tradition, Saint Christopher, the patron saint of travelers, is sometimes depicted with a dog’s head.
