394 years of Thanksgiving.

Because of the combination of tradition and invention, Thanksgiving appeals to the past and to the future. The holiday celebrates ancestor worship and its acceptance of diversity. Thanksgiving is one of our most treasured celebrations.

Today I spent the holiday with one of my two best friends and her family. It was a wonderful lunch and relaxed holiday. Now I am at home listening to my dog snore, next to candles, drinking lemonade and watching “Murder, She Wrote.”
