Sumilon Island is a small island located in Oslob, Cebu, Philippines. The island is just a few minutes away from whaleshark encounter site of Oslob. Sumilon is owned and operated by a private corporation and known also as Sumilon Bluewaters Resort.

It was last February when I and a friend visited the resort. We went there for a day tour only with lunch after swimming with the whale sharks. The island resort is quite pricey so we just spent the night in a beautiful private home of friendly people by the beach near the whale sharks site for a much cheaper price.

The resort has its own wharf in Oslob. From there we rode a big outrigger heading to the island.

Just upon reaching the island, we were greeted by the beautiful white sand bar of the island where we docked and the turquoise water surrounding it.
