Home Improvement and Self Improvement
Two projects are underway on Bluxome in my loft. One is home improvement. I am slowly renovating my space to turn it into the home I want. The second is a personal improvement projects of sorts:
Home improvement is the easier of the tasks. I can go to Room & Board and purchase my goods as needed. I can clean, I have electricians come over, and I can take care of my space.
Self improvement is much more difficult. Research shows that it takes 21 days to develop a habit. Your neural pathways have formed already and you will more than likely continue with your new habit after 21 days, you will have seen the benefits along the way your unconscious will want to continue if it has been beneficial.
Here are my seven new habits / self improvement projects for April (AKA the next 21 days): write a letter to my future self, identify my blind spots, ask for feedback, return to keeping a journal, stop watching TV or TV on a laptop, read at least 1 personal development article a day, and take a break when life gets stressful.
So here’s to checking back on May 1st to see how I did!
