Manhunt v. Mormon
This post I will call the dichotomy of the human condition in 2012.
Over the holidays, an electronic billboard in Times Square alternated between ads for Manhunt, a gay dating site, and the Mormon Church. This is the case of Manhunt v. Mormon and I place my money on the gays winning.
There isn’t much more for this post beyond the great irony in the situation. Mormons understand something about getting picked on for being different. A group which once championed an alternative to ‘traditional’ marriage is now attacking others exercising their constitutional (in California) rights to do just that.
Shortly after this electronic billboard debacle, the Mormon church launched a new campaign encouraging its members to be more compassionate toward the LGBT community. Like I said, my money is on the gays winning this one.
